Corporate Network Security
Even the biggest corporate networks in the world get hacked. Microsoft and the New York Times to name but a few have been victims of computer hackers.
Corporate network security is something you should take very seriously indeed. Many of these hackers are just kids trying to prove a point. Many of them do it to gain recognition within their little communities and even to prove their skills in order to make them more employable.
Some of the network administrators working at these corporations are dumber than a bag of hammers. They wouldn’t know a cookie from an angel cake! Make sure your tech guys are up to the job.
The best way to ensure your network is secure is to employ somebody to try and hack it. There are many places you can go online to post jobs like this but that is beyond the scope of this article.
The ends always justify the means as far as your corporate network security is concerned. You need to test every single last possibility. No stone should be left unturned. Everything, including the kitchen sink should be tested!
On the Internet traditional rules rarely apply. And if you live by the sword you will die by the sword. This couldn’t be more applicable as far as network security goes.
The problem is there is always some new kiddie on the block who is desperate to prove himself or herself and they will stop at nothing to locate those vulnerabilities in your system. Once they get in they can be like a kid in a candy store, messing with all sorts of stuff!
I’ll bet dollars to donuts that your corporate network has been scanned for vulnerabilities many times and there’s even a substantial chance that your network has been compromised already.
Believe me, you need these problems like a hole in the head so do the right thing and get your corporate network security up to par immediately. Check out some of the resources on our site.
